Maram T. Salaheldin helps U.S. and multinational clients tackle their environmental, health, safety, and sustainability (EHS&S) challenges.

Maram counsels clients on EHS&S risks and liabilities related to the lifecycle of their operations and products, including compliance and permitting requirements, with an emphasis on periods of change (e.g., expansion into new areas or markets and supply chain disruptions). Where clients have transnational operations or customers, Maram helps them navigate potential impacts of international laws (e.g., E.U. REACH, RoHS, and CSRD). She also assists clients in assessing and managing risks under certain Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) topics, including those related to environmental and sustainability claims (“green marketing”) and environmental justice. Maram helped establish and co-leads the firm’s ESG & Sustainability advisory practice.

Prior to joining Clark Hill, Maram worked as a consultant focused on EHS&S compliance and management systems, where she interpreted and implemented practical applications of U.S. regulations, foreign laws, and international treaties and agreements for government and commercial clients across diverse sectors. Her support to government clients included the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH), United States Geological Survey (USGS), and Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA). Her private sector experience featured consultation services to several Fortune 500 companies on EHS and product stewardship compliance for multiple jurisdictions throughout the Middle East and Africa, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Mauritius, and the Seychelles.

Maram is also an international speaker and trainer on EHS&S and ESG issues. She is fluent in English and Arabic (native speaker), has professional working proficiency in French, and has limited working proficiency in Spanish.
