Rob Dare is an Associate with the Labor & Employment practice in Clark Hill’s Detroit office. Rob’s practice is primarily focused on the defense of businesses in the litigation of employment disputes. Rob routinely litigates cases arising under the federal employment statutes, including Title VII, the FMLA, the ADA, the ADEA, and the FLSA, as well as cases arising under state law including actions for breach of contract, defamation, whistleblower activities, duty of loyalty, trade secrets, and enforcement of noncompetition agreements. Rob represents clients in federal and state courts, as well as before administrative agencies such as the EEOC, the Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board, the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, and other local civil rights commissions. In addition to his litigation practice, Rob provides advice and legal counsel to employers on all aspects of the employment relationship, including the review and drafting of employment policies, noncompetition agreements, separation agreements, and executive employment agreements.
Upon graduation, he received the ALI-ABA Scholarship and Leadership Award, which the faculty awards to the student of each graduating class who best represents a combination of scholarship and leadership. For more than three years prior to law school, Rob worked in the business development group at Reed Smith LLP.
