William B. Dunn serves clients and the firm as a trusted advisor. With a wealth of experience and a commitment to understanding his client’s business, Bill quickly applies the talents of his team to provide cost-effective solutions.

Over his long and active career, Bill has routinely been involved in a broad spectrum of real estate and commercial transactions for private and public entities. His work has included infrastructure development; office and commercial acquisitions, development, and leasing; commercial real estate finance on behalf of lenders and borrowers; foreclosures and workouts; industrial project finance and land development; land use and development; and advising clients in all aspects of real estate matters. Bill served as special real estate counsel to the City of Detroit during a period of major redevelopment and investment in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Bill is a recognized authority in the area of legal opinions in business transactions and has served as chair of committees for the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the ABA Section of Real Property, Trust and Estates Law on that subject. He is a frequent lecturer at national, regional, and statewide programs on various aspects of secured financing. In addition, Bill’s activity in the area of legal ethics and professional responsibility has led to speaking and consulting engagements and to his service as an expert witness.
