Melissa Palozola prosecutes and defends actions in business and real estate litigation. She also advises clients in commercial and residential real estate transactional matters.

Companies seek Melissa’s assistance in matters of commercial contracts, corporate, commercial and mortgage banking, title insurance, foreclosure, and fraud. Her experience also includes commercial and residential construction disputes, limited liability company and partnership disputes, real estate brokerage disputes, seller and broker misrepresentation and non-disclosure, escrow disputes, homeowner association disputes, adjoining landowner and boundary disputes, and landlord/tenant disputes in both state and federal courts.

Melissa offers transactional knowledge in the areas of lease negotiation and drafting, real property acquisitions and sales, land use, and easements. She counsels commercial and residential owners, partners, investors, buyers and sellers of real property, developers, contractors, architects, lenders, brokers and landlords.

Prior to joining Clark Hill, Melissa served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Richard Clifton for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Honolulu, Hawaii and was employed with a prominent litigation firm in San Francisco.

Melissa received her BA, cum laude, in international relations from Boston University in 2006, and her JD, Dean’s List, from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis in 2011. At Washington University, Melissa served as a judicial extern to the Honorable William D. Stiehl for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, was an articles editor for the Technology, Innovation & Commerce Law Review and a member of the Order of Omega Honors Society, Sigma Alpha Lamba Society National Leadership and Honors, and other organizations.
