James serves as counsel to dentist and physician practice owners in all aspects of healthcare regulation and business ownership. His healthcare practice encompasses practice acquisitions, physician employment agreements, corporate formation, and regulatory compliance involving federal and state healthcare laws.
James also represents childcare facility franchisees in regulatory and litigation matters. Drawing on his deep understanding of Health and Human Services regulations gained through his healthcare practice, he counsels childcare operators facing government investigations and serves as litigation counsel defending claims arising from alleged injuries to children in their care.
In addition to his healthcare and childcare work, James handles a diverse range of business litigation and transactional matters. His practice is informed by more than 25 years of military service as a JAG attorney in the United States Army Reserves, which has shaped his disciplined, strategic approach to client advocacy. Before practicing law, James spent five years as a high school band director in the Dallas Independent School District, an experience that strengthened his ability to relate to and understand the needs of the people he serves.
