Dickinson Named Vice Chair of Transatlantic Practice
Clark Hill is pleased to welcome Steven J. Dickinson to the firm’s Corporate and Transatlantic practice groups. Dickinson, whose practice centers on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, global market entry strategies and regulatory compliance, brings extensive experience advising U.S. and international companies on cross-border transactions. Dickinson will practice from Minneapolis and will serve as the Vice Chair of Clark Hill’s Transatlantic Practice.

A respected business strategist, Dickinson has participated in dozens of trade missions, most recently traveling with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s trade mission to Switzerland and Germany in late 2025. He has advised clients on transactions ranging from early-stage deals to multinational transactions, with cross-border M&A work a central element of his practice and international business law among his core strengths.

Dickinson’s practice is global in reach. In the past year, he has met with trade representatives from Africa, Germany, Finland, France, and Canada, among other nations. He maintains a robust network of established relationships across the United States and abroad. He serves on the board of Global Minnesota, is a member of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minnesota District Export Council, appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, and frequently mentors and advises companies pursuing global growth.
In recognition of his leadership and impact, Dickinson received the 2024 Minnesota ICON Award from Minnesota Lawyer magazine, honoring his excellence in business leadership across the state. He is a member of the International Bar Association, as well as the Minnesota and Iowa Bar Associations.
