Our Corporate and Commercial Law attorneys assist with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, insolvency and reorganisations, investments, cybersecurity and data privacy, intellectual property and technology (including domain name and trademark negotiations) and cross-border services. Our Company Secretarial unit provides all company secretarial services and company formations and has a particular focus on assisting the Inward Investment Team, which facilitates overseas enterprises seeking to establish a place of business in Ireland.

Our Real Estate and Property attorneys offer a wide range of services such as commercial property transactions, residential and commercial conveyancing and probate, property refinancing, drafting and advising landlords and tenants on commercial and private leases.

Unique Ireland/U.S. footprint

We are the first U.S. firm with a multi-disciplinary full-service offering in both Ireland and in the U.S. We opened our office in Dublin in 2016 and as of January 2022 have a presence in Galway. We currently have more than 30 solicitors on the ground – and our office continues to grow dramatically. On the US side, we have more than 25 offices serving an international client base, including Irish clients, coast to coast. We also have a presence in Mexico City, Mexico. We are particularly strong in target destinations for Irish companies—the Northeast, Midwest, Texas, and West Coast.

Commitment to Two-Way FDI

We are committed to supporting the two-way foreign direct investment (FDI) between Ireland and the U.S. We engage with clients from the beginning as they consider expansion opportunities and support them through their decision-making and each step of their commercial and legal journey. We’ve found that, for Irish companies looking to expand into the U.S., the primary legal areas of concern initially (at decision phase) are: Corporate (structuring and governance); Regulation; Immigration; Funding; Tax; and Employment. U.S. companies entering Ireland have similar needs.

We can service legal needs in both countries, including advising on what to expect in the other. Our clients find value in our ability to map the differences between the legal and regulatory regimes between both countries. Many companies have, until now, had no option but to engage separate firms in each country, which limits the joined-up nature of the advice and adds unnecessary cost.
