Member Joann Needleman to Present at Inaugural Women Empowering Women Leadership Retreat

Joann Needleman, Member in Clark Hill’s Philadelphia office, will be speaking on a panel entitled "Elephant in the Room: Breaking the Mold" on September 16, 2019 at the Women Empowering Women leadership retreat in Kennebunkport, Maine. This is the first event for the Women Empowering Women (WEW) council whose mission is to elevate women in the industry through a network of collaboration and support. The council consists of over 50 female members who are in positions of leadership at their respective organizations.

Leader of the firm's Consumer Financial Services Regulatory & Compliance Practice Group, Joann serves as a navigator to her clients seeking advice and guidance in the complex regulatory environment facing the financial services industry. She provides counsel, consultation, and litigation services to a wide array of banks, financial institutions, law firms, credit reporting agencies and mortgage related entities. A former member of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) Consumer Advisory Board, Joann has been able to provide her clients with useful strategies in order to prepare for new areas of regulatory scrutiny. She is frequently quoted in American Banker and the Wall Street Journal for her insight of the CFPB. Needleman is the past President of the Board of Directors of the National Creditors Bar Association (NCBA).
