Linda Watson is Chief Growth Officer at Clark Hill and an equity member. Linda is responsible for developing and driving the firm’s strategy and aligning talent across the firm’s geography for the purpose of accelerating organic growth across practice areas, industry teams, offices, and key relationships. A member of Clark Hill’s executive leadership, Linda identifies key platforms to drive revenue growth. She also leads programs designed to retain and develop talent and to engage and elevate the client experience. These programs include, among others, the firm-wide adoption of AI tools, skills and ethics and the development of high-performing and dynamic teams to produce quality products, drive results and create continuity and trust with clients. Linda works closely with firm management and lawyers to develop and execute the firm’s growth strategy.

Prior to Chief Growth Officer, Linda’s practice concentrated on complex commercial litigation. Linda served on the firm’s Executive Committee for 9 years during its expansion from being a regional firm to one with an international footprint. She also served as a Business Unit Leader for litigation and continues to serve as Chair of the firm’s Automotive & Manufacturing Industry Team. In her leadership roles, Linda has fostered an environment of continuous improvement and has established a proven track-record of contributing to the firm’s growth.

Linda is a featured speaker, panelist, author and sought-after commentator on various legal topics, industry trends, and the practice of law. She has also served on various boards.

  • Represented a world class manufacturer of advanced automation and control systems in successfully obtaining injunctive relief to protect and enjoin the use of highly confidential and proprietary data and trade secrets.
  • Represented an emerging technologies company in a dispute involving the breach of a supply agreement and assisted in securing a multi-million-dollar settlement.
  • Served as lead trial counsel in a breach of warranty case on behalf of a company engaged in the production and development of thermal interface materials and automated applications and after a week-long jury trial in federal court obtained a significant damages award against the defendant.
  • Awarded a temporary restraining order on behalf of a technology driven manufacturer in a lawsuit involving the ownership of specialized tooling prevented the collapse of an on- demand supply chain.
  • Served as a member of a small trial team that successfully protected a patent involving a fuel hose from infringement and a patent challenge obtaining a judgment that upheld the patent as a narrow improvement in a crowded art.
  • Defended a shareholder dispute involving a closely held automotive supplier and obtained summary dismissal of all the complaint while winning a favorable money judgment on a counterclaim at trial.
