Clare Block

Business Unit Director

Clare Block serves as a Business Unit Director for the Corporate, Intellectual Property, Trusts and Estates and International Trade and Arbitration Business Units. She brings more than three decades of experience in working with attorneys on strategic planning, business coaching, skills training, practice management and lateral onboarding. At Clark Hill, she is responsible for managing the daily operations of the business units including financial performance, strategic growth, hiring initiatives and cross-practice collaboration.

Clare brings a coaching mindset to her role and helps attorneys understand client buying behavior, develop market-based pricing strategies and build client service teams. When working with attorneys to assess their key skills and potential for revenue growth, she utilizes an analytical process that “tells the story behind the numbers” and demonstrates the attorney’s unique strengths and opportunities.

Clare has previously served as a business development director at an AmLaw 100 firm and in mid-size national law firms.
