Allison M. Lockhart

Senior Attorney

Allison M. Lockhart represents business owners in complex litigation across state and federal courts in Texas and Louisiana. She is known for vigorously protecting her clients’ interests with robust defense strategies and a clear understanding of the impact of litigation on business operations.

Allison began her career advocating for small businesses involved in commercial disputes in Louisiana. She was recognized for her ability to consistently defeat invalid non-competition agreements in the courtroom, and she became skilled at keeping legal costs down by helping her clients amicably resolve conflicts outside of the courtroom. Clients appreciated that this approach protected their business interests and allowed them to focus on growth and development, and Allison became an invaluable resource for clients on a broad range of issues, including securing intellectual property rights and understanding best practices to ensure compliance with employment laws.

After relocating to Texas, Allison transitioned her practice to defending national and multinational corporations against high exposure personal injury claims. Leveraging her experience working with small businesses, Allison has helped clients develop creative solutions to a wide range of legal challenges. She represents commercial property owners in premises liability cases and regularly defends businesses in the transportation industry involved in litigation arising from severe injuries and mass casualties. Allison also has experience protecting manufacturers of industrial equipment and consumer products from products liability claims. Drawing on her roots as an advocate for small businesses, Allison has cultivated a special interest in defending bars and restaurants in Dram Shop cases and protecting family-owned funeral homes from mental anguish claims.

As a champion of business owners, Allison knows how important it is to handle the defense of claims efficiently so disruptions to day-to-day business operations are minimized and client reputations are protected and maintained. She also knows the best way to prevent litigation is to counsel clients on regulatory compliance and ethical management practices. Allison is skilled at identifying risks, crafting tailored strategies for mitigating risks, and handling complex litigation and legal issues so clients can focus on managing and growing their business.
