Clark Hill Supports Purchaser of Dublin’s Bad Ass Café

September 8, 2022

Clark Hill’s corporate team in Dublin recently provided legal counsel to the purchaser of the well-known Bad Ass Cafe in Dublin’s Temple Bar.

Dublin partner Edward Johnston supported Colin and Eoin Pardy’s purchasing vehicle as they purchased the landmark restaurant and bar. The Pardy brothers also own the Fish Shack seafood restaurants in Dublin.

“We are excited to add the Bad Ass Cafe to our group, a well-known Dublin institution which customers have enjoyed for many years,” the Pardy brothers said in an Irish Times article on the acquisition. “Combining our hospitality experience with new, sophisticated systems, we aim to build on the Bad Ass’s excellent reputation and support this already-thriving business in its next chapter.”

Johnston acted as lead corporate counsel throughout the transaction and was supported by Niamh Doyle, Declan McNulty, Neva Watchorne, and Ben O’Donnell from Clark Hill’s Dublin office.

“We’re very pleased to have helped the Pardy brothers in their acquisition of Bad Ass Cafe,” Johnston said. “It was a competitive bidding process to acquire this iconic Dublin venue and I’m proud of our team’s work to make this a successful purchase for the Pardys.”
