Clark Hill Strasburger attorney Laura Calhoun was recently featured in HR Dive’s article “Mailbag: Should our company set up on-site testing for COVID-19?” The article discusses the pros and cons of COVID-19 testing as it pertains to reopening businesses. The article also discusses testing in the office, temperature checks, test accuracy, and more.

“Employers must make sure any tests used are accurate and reliable. Employers may also decide to contract out the testing to an outside company, but if they choose to do so, they should thoroughly vet such companies," Calhoun said.

Calhoun is Senior Counsel in Clark Hill Strasburger’s Labor & Employment group, based in the firm’s Collin County, TX office. Calhoun has over 25 years of experience in a wide variety of employment law issues. She has litigated state and federal employment law claims, represented employers and employees under FLSA, and has counseled employers on compliance with state and federal employment laws.
