Clark Hill attorney Edward Hammond was recently published in Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s “IRS notice, CARES Act impact retirement plans.” The article discusses the IRS’s Notice 2020-50, which will help retirement plan participants affected by COVID-19 to take advantage of the CARES Act provisions. It also expands the categories of individuals eligible for CARES Act distributions and loan treatment, referred to as “qualified individuals.”
