Reductions in Force and Facility Closures: Things Employers Should Consider to Reduce the Risk of Liability

February 9, 2021

Following the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, many employers implemented layoffs and/or reductions in their workforce. As businesses have begun to reopen, many continue to face difficult decisions about their employees.

This webinar will focus on the challenges employers face when instituting layoffs or reducing force. In addition to the difficult decisions associated with workforce downsizing, the path to planning and executing a reduction in force is fraught with liability exposure, and employers face significant legal risks if conducted without careful consideration of workplace laws and regulations. This webinar examines the legal risks and issues associated with a layoff and/or reduction in force and will equip employers with guidance and best practices to minimize their liability exposure.
