Clark Hill Partners With Oakland County to Provide Free Legal Services

Oct 29, 2020

Clark Hill is proud to partner with the Oakland County Small Business Association to provide free legal consulting services. This program is particularly designed to support minority and women-owned small businesses. In addition to two hours of free legal consulting, Clark Hill has provided two webinars available for viewing on the Oakland County SBA website as part of their “Navigate and Thrive During the COVID-19 Pandemic” program.

The program offers free legal and financial consulting from varying Michigan law and financial firms. Clark Hill's webinars focus on labor and employment issues for businesses navigating pandemic-related issues.

Laura Calhoun, senior counsel in Collin County, leads a webinar focused on the legal and HR considerations for managing a remote workforce during the pandemic.

In the second Clark Hill video, Birmingham Member Anne-Marie Vercruysse Welch and Pittsburgh Member Mario Bordogna discuss the legal issues and best practices for reopening a workplace during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to viewing the webinar videos online, businesses may elect to then receive up to two hours of free legal consulting with one of Clark Hill's Michigan labor and employment attorneys. The free consultations are part of Oakland County’s CARES Act funding and distribution program to revive the economy during the Covid-19 pandemic.

For more information on the program, webinars, and free consultation, please visit Oakland County’s website and if interested, fill out the consulting request form to speak with a Clark Hill attorney.
