Clark Hill Attorney Michael Pattwell Named to State Bar of Michigan Agricultural Law Council

Clark Hill attorney Michael Pattwell has been named to the Council of the Agricultural Law Section for the State Bar of Michigan. This section strives to improve and expand the knowledge of lawyers who engage in the practice of agricultural law. Pattwell will serve a three-year term.

Pattwell manages high-stakes litigation and assists clients in resolving complex regulatory and transactional impasses in environmental, energy, and related land-use and agricultural matters. He has represented several state agencies and executive officials as a Special Assistant Attorney General and has served as outside general counsel to a number of state-wide associations including the Association of Businesses Advocating Tariff Equity, the Michigan Cannabis Industry Association, and the Michigan Republican Party.

He holds the highest “AV®” Preeminent peer rating from Martindale-Hubbell with the highest ethical standing, is consistently recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star (2013-2020) in the field of business and environmental litigation, and was named by Best Lawyers as the 2021 Environmental Litigator of the Year for Lansing.

Pattwell presently serves as the Director of the firm’s Environmental Litigation Group and heads the firm’s Flint Water Litigation Defense Team.
