Starr has significant experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Clark Hill, Starr initiated and developed a professional and general liability Risk Management program for a large multi-specialty physician clinic practice where she also managed their self-insured claims and litigation program. She was a team member of many physician level department meetings charged with evaluating quality, risk, patient safety, and medical-legal analysis for claims in the hospital setting and has a solid background in Medical Records Science and Healthcare Administration.
Starr’s further professional career included working at a number of professional liability insurance companies managing high volume, high exposure healthcare litigation cases that spanned across the country. While at the insurance companies, she participated and conducted claims audits for large health systems where she compiled case evaluations and final litigation summaries for the clients and insurers.
