Sean Nolan acts for a wide variety of corporate clients in relation to the following principal areas of practice: commercial law, M&A, joint ventures, start ups, charitable and not for profit companies, banking, agency and distribution agreements, employment, immigration, stamp duty, and intellectual property.

He has particular experience in advising companies and individuals seeking to establish a business in Ireland through his inward investment practice. He also has particular experience in advising port companies. In his work in this regard, he was instrumental in drafting part of the Harbours (Amendment) Act 2009. His M&A work includes having acted for one of the US’s largest companies on a range of company acquisitions and disposals in Ireland, including an Irish bank, media enterprises, and various family businesses. Sean also has responsibility for the delivery of the firm’s company secretarial and corporate governance services. He was formerly the Company Secretary to a significant US-owned Irish pharmaceutical company with a multi-billion dollar turnover.

Sean was formerly a partner in one of Ireland’s leading international law firms, where he practiced for 11 years. He is qualified in both England and Ireland, having attended University College London, LLB, MA (Business Law).
