Sadra counsels private equity Firms and companies on the immigration implications of corporate transactions, including the retention, transfer, and continued employment authorization of foreign national employees during mergers, acquisitions, and post-closing integration. His practice includes conducting immigration due diligence reviews involving Form I-9 and E-Verify compliance, as well as H-2A and H-2B program compliance, to help clients identify and mitigate potential immigration-related liabilities associated with transactions and workforce restructuring.
In addition, Sadra advises employers on developing and strengthening internal immigration compliance programs, including Form I-9 policies, self-audits, and workforce verification procedures designed to ensure compliance with federal immigration laws and Department of Homeland Security regulations. He also assists employers in responding to government investigations and audits, including Form I-9 inspections conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
