Megan A. Guernsey

Senior Counsel

Megan Guernsey practices primarily in the fiduciary realm with her representation of receivers, trustees, executors, and beneficiaries in disputes before local law enforcement, state, and federal courts. Megan is experienced in her understanding and appreciation of the duties owed by fiduciaries and regularly counsels clients in this regard. She has litigated claims to recover fraudulent transfers and for surcharge arising out of claimed breaches, and has successfully negotiated numerous settlements of such claims.

Megan’s comprehension of fiduciary principles has also informed her representation of corporate entities in complex cases involving intellectual property, contract disputes, and actions for declaratory judgment.

Clients and colleagues value Megan’s ability to quickly recognize the issues and get to the bottom line. She is adept at strongly advocating for the client’s interests while at the same time maintaining respectful and collegial relationships with opposing counsel, ultimately leading to a more productive outcome for her clients.
