Maurine “Mo” Shipp
Maurine "Mo" Heinrichs Shipp, Senior Counsel in Clark Hill’s Tax and Estate Planning practice group, was born and reared in San Antonio, Texas and comes from a long line of ranchers and lawyers. She received her Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 2002. Mo worked in advertising and public relations before attending St. Mary's University School of Law, where she was active in a number of organizations, earned a spot in Phi Delta Phi Honorary Legal Fraternity, and was a member of the Board of Advocates. She received her Juris Doctor from St. Mary's in 2008.
Mo practices in the areas of Wills, Estate Administration, and Probate, and is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She also assists in various aspects of complex Probate and Fiduciary litigation.
Mo is a fellow in the Texas Bar Foundation, a member of the San Antonio Planned Giving Council, and a member of the University of the Incarnate Word Planned Giving Council. She was named a Top Attorney in San Antonio for 2019 by her peers in San Antonio Magazine, and was named as Best of 2014 and San Antonio's Rising Stars for 2011 and 2012 in SA Scene magazine. Mo won the San Antonio Bar Association President’s Award for her work with the San Antonio Community Justice Program following the shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas. She previously taught a class in estate planning at the University of the Incarnate Word, and is a frequent speaker in various estate and trusts class at St. Mary’s University School of Law.
Mo loves the outdoors, and can be found on the weekends working at her family’s ranch in the Texas Hill Country. She lives in San Antonio with her husband Barrett, their three young children, her dog, Sgt. Pepper, and five hermit crabs.
