Lidia Koelbel’s passion for problem solving enables her to help clients provide ideal work environments for their employees.

Lidia uses her solution focused ethos to assist clients in reconciling their employment policies, rules and practices to align with local, state and national laws. In turn this creates a powerful tool for employers in their desire to engage employees and maintain solid employee relations.

Experienced in advising both private and public employers Lidia regularly assists them with responding to employee grievances pursuant to collective bargaining agreements, including discipline and termination. She further assists private and public employers in federal and local labor and employment administrative agency investigations, and other proceedings, including hearings, pre-hearing motion practice, and issuing and responding to discovery requests.

Outside the adversary process, Lidia has experience in neutral workplace misconduct investigations, drafting and revising employee handbooks and personnel manuals to comply with developments of the law. Lidia also provides employee and supervisor trainings in various topics to support informed, supported, and positive company culture and workforce.

Having previously practiced in ediscovery, Lidia’s skills are congruent with an industry that is constantly evolving as it is affected by advancing communication technologies and the ever increasing size of data content. Coupled with her former role as an academic legal librarian and eighteen years of experience in retail, Lidia is able to see issues before they become problems, to troubleshoot policies for clients in the industry. Lidia’s experiences provide a unique perspective in tackling human resource problems and challenges her clients face, allowing them to be great employers.
