Lauren M. Wiliams advises organizations on data privacy and cybersecurity matters, counseling clients through security incidents, addressing regulatory risk, and navigating time-sensitive decisions affecting business operations and compliance obligations. Her practice also includes drafting privacy and information security policies and advising on data governance matters related to the handling and protection of sensitive information.

Lauren advises clients on data privacy and cybersecurity matters, including incident response, privacy compliance, and data governance. She coordinates with forensic experts and insurance professionals, prepares consumer and regulatory notifications, and assists clients responding to enforcement actions under state and federal law. Her practice also includes drafting privacy and information security policies and advising on contractual and operational considerations related to the collection, use, and protection of sensitive information.

Prior to focusing her practice on data privacy and cybersecurity, Lauren represented public-sector entities and advised board and administrators on regulatory compliance, governance, and risk management matters. Her work included preparing ordinances and policies, as well as drafting and negotiating multimillion-dollar capital improvement and public works projects.
