Kate M. Novak advises and defends professionals, companies, and banks in matters involving investigations by government entities and compliance with industry regulations.

Before joining Clark Hill, Kate worked at the Miami-Dade County Public Defender’s Office where she litigated over twenty trials, argued evidentiary and constitutional motions, and conducted hundreds of depositions.

Prior to working as a public defender, Kate was part of the legal team at BCA Financial Services, Inc. where she advised the company on matters relating to corporate compliance, Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and employment issues.
