John Rastoka represents clients in complex civil litigation with an emphasis on surety, construction, and contract claims. His experience includes representing insurance carriers, private businesses, and government entities in civil litigation matters through trial.

John assists surety clients in all aspects of investigation, negotiation, and litigation of bond claims, contract disputes, liens, and other related claims. Outside of surety matters, John has represented insurance carriers, private businesses, and government entities in first- and third-party coverage disputes and has defended personal injury, premises liability, and property damage liability claims to verdict.

Prior to joining Clark Hill, John previously worked for an insurance coverage and liability defense firm in Dallas where he gained direct experience navigating clients through the litigation process from pre-suit demands to jury verdict.

In law school, he worked as a judicial clerk at the Los Angeles County Superior Court and completed an internship semester in Washington, D.C. at a lobbying firm representing Fortune 500 Companies.

John is licensed to practice law in Texas and Florida and has experience in arbitration, state, and federal courts.
