Elsy Ramos Velasquez is a seasoned immigration attorney who represents individuals in complex and high‑stakes immigration matters before federal courts, immigration agencies, and U.S. consulates worldwide. Her practice centers on removal defense, humanitarian protection, and affirmative immigration benefits before U.S. federal agencies. She is committed to helping individuals navigate the U.S. immigration system with care and clarity

Elsy has extensive experience advocating for clients seeking asylum, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, U visas, protections under the Violence Against Women Act, and a wide range of discretionary waivers. She also counsels clients on nonimmigrant and immigrant visa processing and provides strategic advice on the EB‑5 immigrant investor program, guiding investors and their families through the path toward permanent residence.

In addition to her legal practice, Elsy has served as an adjunct professor, teaching courses in asylum and refugee law as well as immigration law, where she trained and mentored future practitioners in complex areas of protection‑based immigration. She is also a regular presenter at national and regional conferences and frequently delivers Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs to attorneys on emerging issues in immigration law and removal defense.
