Deborah Bone

Deborah Bone is a seasoned legal advisor and former Deputy General Counsel with extensive experience representing energy sector clients and companies operating in highly regulated industries. Her practice spans regulatory proceedings, government investigations, complex litigation, corporate governance, and commercial transactions.

Deborah was a litigation and investigations partner at a national law firm, representing clients in high-stakes enforcement actions brought by the U.S. Department of Justice, Environmental Protection Agency, Securities and Exchange Commission, and state attorneys general. She developed defense strategies, led internal investigations, and handled regulatory risk assessments for corporate clients in the energy and manufacturing sectors.

Earlier in her career, Deborah focused on environmental law and regulatory compliance, advising clients on the Clean Air Act, CERCLA, and other complex regulatory frameworks. She also handled due diligence for corporate transactions involving environmental risk, worked closely with expert consultants on technical issues, and managed discovery and expert development in large-scale enforcement actions.

Deborah has built a focused energy law practice centered on regulatory strategy, enforcement defense, and legislative and policy advising.
