Colleen Jarrott

Senior Counsel

With more than two decades of litigation experience, Colleen has established a hybrid energy practice focused on matters arising from the production, refining, and distribution of energy from traditional and renewable sources. Colleen represents clients in the oil and gas, natural resources, renewables, transportation, and other industries in a broad spectrum of transactions, contract negotiations, regulatory compliance and defense, and complex commercial litigation.

Colleen also advises clients on emerging issues in Louisiana, including mineral law and carbon capture and sequestration. Among other areas, she is well versed in the development of state regulatory and legislative initiatives relating to the Louisiana Geologic Sequestration of Carbon Dioxide Act. She has deep familiarity with federal and state regulatory agencies and has represented clients before the Louisiana State Mineral and Energy Board, the Louisiana Department of Energy & Natural Resources, and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, as well as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Interior Board of Land Appeals.

Colleen also serves on the Louisiana Oil & Gas Association’s Carbon Capture Committee and the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources’ Ad Hoc Committee on Carbon Capture.
