Antavis Chavis helps businesses, associations, nonprofits, and other organizations navigate legislative and regulatory challenges. Drawing on experience in Congress, local government, and government affairs, he advises clients on policy matters, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy strategies that support their business and organizational objectives

Before joining Clark Hill Public Strategies, Antavis served in legislative leadership roles in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the Council of the District of Columbia. He managed legislative agendas, advised elected officials on policy and budget matters, coordinated appropriations priorities, and worked closely with government agencies, congressional offices, and stakeholder groups to advance key initiatives. His experience spans healthcare, economic development, public safety, housing, infrastructure, agriculture, and foreign affairs.

Antavis also brings experience in government relations, legal analysis, and coalition building through roles in Congress, local government, corporate affairs, and public-sector legal organizations. His firsthand understanding of the policymaking process helps clients identify opportunities, understand regulatory developments, and develop effective strategies to achieve their legislative and public policy goals.
