Alessandra Brainard’s experience includes supporting all phases of litigation from initial case assessment through trial preparation and resolution. She drafts pleadings and substantive motions at both the trial and appellate levels, manages complex discovery, appears for depositions, hearings, and arbitrations, and helps develop litigation strategies designed to achieve efficient and practical results for clients. In addition to her practice, Alessandra actively engages in pro bono work, assisting Philadelphians with a range of legal matters and advancing access to fair representation.

She previously served as a clerk in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, where she drafted opinions and orders deciding both dispositive and non-dispositive motions.

While in law school, she served as Chairperson of the Moot Court Board, Dean’s Ambassador, Executive Board Member of the Emerging Technology Legal Society, and Student Ambassador for the Office of Admissions. Upon graduating with a concentration in Litigation and Dispute Resolution, she received the Faculty Recognition Award and the Maura Buri Memorial Excellence in Student Research Prize.
