Abigail Block focuses her practice on commercial litigation, complex class action, and contract disputes. With extensive experience analyzing novel and complex legal issues, she effectively advocates for clients by identifying key arguments to minimize damages in class actions and other sophisticated commercial matters. Abigail also represents individuals, families, and financial institutions in probate, trust, and guardianship controversies.

Abigail supports clients at every stage of litigation and alternative dispute resolution, both at the state and federal levels. She has assisted in trial preparation for complex securities fraud cases and multi-party commercial disputes, providing critical support for successful motions to dismiss and actively participating in depositions and mediations. She is skilled in drafting complaints, responses, discovery requests, motions, and legal memoranda, ensuring that her research strengthens clients’ positions in multi-party commercial litigation. Abigail has also assisted major industry clients facing consumer class action lawsuits to oppose certification. In addition, Abigail litigates actions involving powers of attorneys, petitions for guardianship for adults with disabilities, and pre-death and post-death will and trust contests.

During law school at Washington University School of Law, Abigail was actively involved in the Civil Rights & Mediation Clinic and the Immigration Law Clinic. Prior to joining the Chicago office as an Associate Attorney, Abigail worked as a litigation law clerk in the Denver office at Clark Hill.
