Clark Hill Adds Steven Dickinson to Corporate, Transatlantic Practice Groups

February 4, 2026

Dickinson Named Vice Chair of Transatlantic Practice

Clark Hill is pleased to welcome Steven J. Dickinson to the firm’s Corporate and Transatlantic practice groups. Dickinson, whose practice centers on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, global market entry strategies and regulatory compliance, brings extensive experience advising U.S. and international companies on cross-border transactions. Dickinson will practice from Minneapolis and will serve as the Vice Chair of Clark Hill’s Transatlantic Practice.

“During the past three years, Clark Hill has significantly expanded its global capabilities,” said Kevin Kent, Transatlantic Practice Chair. “With his decades of practical, hands-on experience and vast network of contacts with international business leaders and legal advisors, Steve’s advisement will provide our clients with an in-depth, fully contextual understanding of the legal, business and regulatory opportunities and challenges that come with cross-border growth.”

A respected business strategist, Dickinson has participated in dozens of trade missions, most recently traveling with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s trade mission to Switzerland and Germany in late 2025. He has advised clients on transactions ranging from early-stage deals to multinational transactions, with cross-border M&A work a central element of his practice and international business law among his core strengths.

“Steve’s extensive experience in cross-border M&A and private equity transactions makes him an exceptional addition to our thriving Corporate team,” said Jarrod Duffy, Leader of Clark Hill’s Corporate practice. “He has a proven track record of aligning legal strategy with clients’ long-term business objectives, particularly in complex, multi-jurisdictional matters, which is core to the group’s mission.”

Dickinson’s practice is global in reach. In the past year, he has met with trade representatives from Africa, Germany, Finland, France, and Canada, among other nations. He maintains a robust network of established relationships across the United States and abroad. He serves on the board of Global Minnesota, is a member of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minnesota District Export Council, appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, and frequently mentors and advises companies pursuing global growth.

In recognition of his leadership and impact, Dickinson received the 2024 Minnesota ICON Award from Minnesota Lawyer magazine, honoring his excellence in business leadership across the state. He is a member of the International Bar Association, as well as the Minnesota and Iowa Bar Associations.
