Charles A. Lawler to Become President of Ingham County Bar Association on July 1, 2021

Charles A. (Charley) Lawler, Member, Clark Hill will become President of the Ingham County Bar Association on July 1. He will serve a one-year term. Lawler currently serves as Member-in-Charge of Clark Hill’s Lansing office, a position he has held since 2017.

A member of the firm’s litigation practice group, Lawler advises clients on the issues necessary to manage a business as well as in civil and commercial litigation proceedings including bankruptcy, real estate, creditors’ rights, property tax, and construction matters. He also advises his clients regarding municipal law issues, including the representation of county treasurers in tax collection and foreclosure disputes. He has represented several treasurers in the Michigan Court of Appeals, Michigan Supreme Court, the United States District Courts, and the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals relating to foreclosure issues, as well as several material suppliers and subcontractors in matters relating to the Michigan Construction Lien Act and the Michigan Builders Trust Fund Act.
