Clark Hill Attorney Ray J. Koenig III Featured in HuffPost

April 10, 2020

Clark Hill attorney Ray J. Koenig III was recently featured in Huff Post’s “A Guide To Estate Planning During The Coronavirus Pandemic.” The article discusses issues and preparedness regarding finances and health should you or a loved one contract COVID-19. One particular issue is that documents, such as powers of attorney and wills, need to be witnessed and notarized to be legally binding.

“Fortunately, many states such as Illinois and New York have recently enacted executive orders or statutes which allow for virtual notarization and witnessing of these documents. ‘That means that clients do not need to make a risky trek to their attorney’s office. Instead, with trained and skilled staff, an attorney can coordinate everything virtually,’ Koenig said.”
