Ryan M. Cantú

Senior Counsel

Ryan Cantú represents businesses in commercial litigation, transportation and logistics disputes, catastrophic personal injury claims, real estate matters, and workplace disability issues. Drawing on more than a decade of litigation and counseling experience, Ryan helps clients investigate risk, evaluate exposure, resolve disputes, and make informed operational and business decisions.

Ryan manages disputes from initial investigation through resolution, including factual and legal analysis, written discovery, depositions, witness preparation, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, settlement negotiations, and courtroom advocacy. In transportation matters, he conducts site investigations, interviews witnesses, and participates in accident reenactments and root-cause analyses. This hands-on approach helps transportation and logistics companies preserve evidence, understand how an incident occurred, and develop litigation and resolution strategies grounded in the factual record.

His commercial litigation experience includes contract and indemnity disputes, consumer arbitrations, trade secret claims, creditor and investor rights, product liability and warranty matters, and commercial collection actions. Ryan has also represented automotive dealerships in consumer disputes and litigated indemnity issues between dealerships and manufacturers. His trial and arbitration experience includes serving as first- and second-chair counsel in matters involving alleged catastrophic injuries, examining fact and expert witnesses, briefing complex legal issues, and arguing evidentiary disputes.

Beyond litigation, Ryan provides general counsel and transactional support to corporate clients. He advises on workplace injuries, disability claims, ERISA plans, employment issues, legal compliance, and risk management. He also negotiates and drafts commercial leases, shareholder agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, services and distribution contracts, asset purchase agreements, sales agreements, and licensing arrangements. As a licensed U.S. customs broker, Ryan brings an additional understanding of the regulatory and commercial considerations affecting cross-border business and transportation operations.
