Norman Trey Miller III

Associate

Norman “Trey” Miller III focuses his practice on tribal, civil rights, and general civil/commercial litigation. With experience across federal, tribal, and state courts, Trey is committed to leveraging his diverse background to provide clear strategies and effective solutions for clients facing complex problems.

Trey applies a broad and practical skill set to his work, always focused on achieving his clients’ objectives.  His experience as a judicial law clerk in the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Court provided him with deep insight into tribal sovereignty, intergovernmental relations, and the complex jurisdictional questions that frequently arise in tribal litigation.  He brings this perspective to bear in representing clients in matters involving tribal governments, enterprises, and individuals, ensuring that tribal and legal contexts are carefully considered. Additionally, Trey’s time as a law clerk with the Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources Division in Washington D.C. informs his litigation practice when federal concerns are involved.
