A significant portion of Matt’s practice focuses on the defense of professional liability and business tort claims. He has represented clients in matters involving fiduciary duties, trusts and estates, syndicated conservation easements, microcaptive insurance, tax shelters, litigation conduct, business and contract disputes, First Amendment issues, family law matters, real estate transactions, tax-related engagements, and audit and accounting services. He also has successfully defended clients against civil RICO, fraud, conspiracy, and other intentional tort claims involving substantial financial and reputational risk.
