Mario Valdivia concentrates his practice on insurance-related litigation while also advising clients on insurance policies and related contract decisions.

He has experience handling commercial general liability, professional liability, umbrella and excess liability, and first-party property claims for international and domestic insurers from inception to resolution.

Prior to joining Clark Hill, Mario served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Morris G. Smith of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division.  He also previously served as an associate with a full-service firm based in New Jersey, where he focused on insurance-related coverage counseling and litigation.

During law school, Mario served as the Senior Notes and Comments Editor for the Rutgers University Law Review.  He also participated in the Honorable James Hunter III Appellate Advocacy Moot Court competition, served as a teaching assistant for Legal Research and Writing, and received several academic scholarships and awards.
