Leif Reid is a Partner in Clark Hill’s Litigation practice, where he represents businesses and individuals in complex, high-stakes disputes across Nevada and throughout the western United States. For more than 25 years, clients have relied on Leif to lead trial teams in matters where significant commercial, regulatory, or operational outcomes are on the line. He is known for his strategic command of multifaceted litigation and his ability to take cases through trial when negotiated resolution is not an option.

Leif focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation, including antitrust and unfair competition claims, distribution and supply chain disputes, utilities and renewable energy matters, contract and fiduciary duty claims, product liability and mass torts, and other large-scale civil litigation. His matters often involve multiple parties, parallel proceedings in state and federal courts, and extensive motion practice and discovery. Leif also conducts independent investigations and advises clients in sensitive and confidential matters requiring discretion and sound judgment.

A seasoned trial lawyer, Leif has served as lead counsel in numerous extended jury and bench trials, as well as hundreds of hearings, evidentiary proceedings, injunction and emergency relief actions, and regulatory matters. He regularly appears before administrative agencies and commissions and has successfully briefed and argued appeals before the Nevada Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Leif maintains a nationally recognized practice in liquor distribution law. He has represented distributors and brand owners in disputes involving some of the largest beer producers in the world and has secured multimillion-dollar verdicts, permanent injunctive relief, and regulatory and legislative outcomes protecting client distribution rights and market position.
Before entering private practice, Leif gained significant trial and appellate experience as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the White Collar Crime Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
