Associate

Eric Saccomanno represents clients in construction defect, professional liability, commercial litigation, general liability, and real estate disputes. His clients have included contractors, architects, real estate agents, accountants, physicians, businesses, property associations, and individuals. Drawing on experience across private practice and state government, Eric evaluates legal and regulatory issues, develops practical litigation strategies, and helps clients manage risk throughout the dispute-resolution process.

Eric handles a broad range of business and property-related matters, including contract disputes, real property litigation, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, governmental violations, premises liability, automobile liability, commercial trucking claims, and intentional tort cases. He prepares and responds to dispositive and pretrial motions, including motions for summary judgment, motions for sanctions, and motions in limine, as well as complaints, answers, and affirmative defenses. His experience encompasses settlement negotiations, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, municipal hearings, and trials.

Professionals and organizations also turn to Eric in matters involving malpractice and professional liability claims. He has represented physicians, hospitals, physician staffing services, and other professionals in medical malpractice, wrongful death, and related civil litigation. In employment matters, Eric has defended private employers against Americans with Disabilities Act claims, employment discrimination allegations, and other workplace claims arising in litigation and investigations before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Florida Commission on Human Relations.

Before entering private practice, Eric served with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, where he represented the Division of Pari-Mutuel Wagering in litigation, administrative disputes, and pre-litigation negotiations. His work addressed rule challenges, casino operator permits, license denials, racetrack infractions, sports wagering, cryptocurrency and cashless casino transactions, and the international transportation of slot machines and racehorses. He also previously supported municipal clients on contracts, procurement, land use and zoning disputes, code enforcement, employment matters, and regulatory compliance. This public-sector background informs his ability to assess disputes involving government agencies, administrative proceedings, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
