Christopher A. Ferlito is an Associate Attorney in Clark Hill PLC’s Construction Law Business Unit. Chris is a commercial litigation attorney specializing in the construction, real estate and business industries. Chris has experience in litigating numerous matters involving contract disputes, business torts, construction lien matters, collection matters, landlord/tenant matters and other real estate/property matters. He has represented clients in both state and federal courts, and in alternative dispute resolution including arbitration, mediation and facilitation. His representation of clients includes general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, developers, owners, local governments, municipalities and individuals.
As a result of his work with his family’s construction business prior to becoming an attorney, Chris gained extensive experience and an understanding of the construction and business industries. He applies the knowledge and skills he learned and acquired in the business to his practice of law today. Chris’s background in construction and business serves to advise his clients appropriately and efficiently. He assists in determining the best strategies for his clients and helps to effectively manage their cases.
Chris received his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Michigan State University, and earned his Juris Doctor from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Chris graduated from both universities magna cum laude.
Chris resides in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan with his wife and one son.
