Clark Hill Strasburger Assists with Victory in Enterprise Products Partners L.P.’s Years-Long Battle with Energy Transfer Partners

Working as part of a multi-firm team, Clark Hill Strasburger represented Enterprise Products Partners L.P. in the recent Texas Supreme Court rejection of a $535 million partnership judgment against them in favor of pipeline transport company, Energy Transfer Partners L.P. (ETP).

The ruling, which was issued on Friday, Jan. 31, agreed with the Fifth Court of Appeals in Dallas, and ruled in Enterprise’s favor, saying the pipeline developer did not have a binding partnership to develop a crude oil line with Energy Transfer Partners. The court ruled that Texas law permits parties to agree that no partnership will exist unless certain conditions are satisfied.
