Clark Hill Attorney Carl Shusterman Quoted in Bloomberg on Visa Restrictions for International Healthcare Professionals Amid COVID-19

Senior Counsel Carl Shusterman was quoted in Bloomberg on the impact of international healthcare professionals who are constrained by immigration rules in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Current systems, including H-1B, restrict the number of visas granted to individuals and also have requirements that hospitals who hire international medical staff list every facility of operation for the professional, causing major delays especially in rural areas. Shusterman has over 40 years of experience practicing immigration law. He served as a Trial Attorney for US Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) from 1976 until 1982 when he entered the private practice of law. Carl has testified as an expert witness before the Senate Immigration Subcommittee in Washington, DC. He is one of the very limited number of attorneys who have been designated as Certified Specialists in Immigration and Naturalization Law by the California State Bar.
