Clark Hill Attorney Russell E. Cass to Moderate ABA IP Litigation Committee Roundtable on October 13, 2017
Clark Hill attorney Russell E. Cass will co-moderate “Hot Topics in Patent Law: IPRs and Venue” with Christine Abuel Pompa of KraftHeinz at the ABA IP Litigation Roundtable on October 13, 2017. The presentation will cover recent developments in the area of Inter Partes Reviews before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, as well as how courts have interpreted the changes in permissible venue for patent cases in light of the Supreme Court’s recent decision in TC Heartland v. Kraft Foods.
Cass is a member of Clark Hill’s Intellectual Property Group based in Chicago. He has extensive experience litigating patent infringement matters, including trying cases before judges and juries in Federal District Court, handling appeals before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, litigating proceedings before the Patent Trial & Appeal Board, and handling disputes before arbitration panels. Cass’s IP practice also encompasses counseling, non-infringement and validity opinions, due diligence investigations, freedom-to-operate analyses, patent portfolio management, and trademark litigation.
