Clark Hill’s Ray J. Koenig III to Speak at IICLE’s 62nd Annual Estate Planning Short Course

CHICAGO, IL – Ray J. Koenig III, Member in Charge of the firm’s Chicago office, is to speak at the prestigious Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education’s (IICLE) 62nd Annual Estate Planning Short Course on May 7, 2019 in Chicago, IL and on May 15, 2019 in Champaign, IL.  Ray’s co-presentation, “Expanding the Litigator’s Toolkit: Ever-Expanding No Contest Clauses and the Growing Use of Arbitration Clauses,” will focus on why a greater frequency of estate plans are now including mandatory arbitration provisions that include fiduciaries and beneficiaries, and how to use and defend against them.

The annual IICLE gathering combines two days of advanced estate and trust planning education from top legal professionals with an unparalleled opportunity for professional networking.  IICLE’s mission is to serve as the premier provider of continuing legal education in Illinois and as an example for other continuing legal education providers across the country.

Ray is the co-author of numerous publications, including of Claims Against Decedent’s Estate chapter in IICLE’s 2017 Handbook: Causes of Action, Probate Actions as well as the Guardianship Litigation chapter in IICLE’s 2016, 2012 and 2009 Handbook: Litigating Disputed Estates, Trusts, Guardianships, and Charitable Bequest.  He has also been a co-presenter at numerous IICLE Estate Planning Short Courses and Elder Law Short Courses, including, “Visitation Issues in the Context of Guardianships and POA’s,” in 2018.
