Clark Hill PLC Associate Anne-Marie V. Welch Elected to the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association Board of Directors for Three-Year Term
DETROIT, MICH. – Clark Hill associate Anne-Marie Welch was elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors for the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association (DMBA). Welch will be officially sworn-in at the Raising the Bar event, May 31, at The Gem Theatre in Detroit, Mich.
Welch is an associate of Clark Hill’s Detroit office. Her primary practice areas are employment litigation, counseling and investigation, and labor law, and she is experienced in defending employers before both state and federal agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Michigan Department of Civil Rights and the National Labor Relations Board. Welch has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers since 2009 and she has contributed to national and local legal and professional publications, such as HR Specialist, Michigan Employment Law; and the Institute of Continuing Legal Education. In addition to the DMBA, where Welch also served as president of the Barristers Young Lawyer Section this past year, Welch is actively engaged in a number of organizations within Metro Detroit. She serves on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit’s Camping Services and she is a member of the Royal Oak Woman’s Club.
The DMBA has served the southeastern Michigan legal community since 1836 and it provides educational opportunities, services and information essential to the successful, ethical practice of law. The DMBA was created by a group of prominent Detroit lawyers to improve the administration and quality of justice in the communities and it now offers a variety of groups for its members to join, such as the DMBA Inn of Court and Barristers Section.
