Clark Hill Cybersecurity Attorney Rob Stern Quoted in Fiduciary News

May 4, 2020

Clark Hill cybersecurity attorney Rob Stern was recently quoted in the Fiduciary News’ “How Can 401k Plan Sponsors Better Shield 401k Participants From External Fraud?”  The article discusses how employees working remotely can keep their business and personal information protected against cyber scammers.

“Many employees use company-controlled devices at work where companies control what anti-virus software is installed, what sites employees can navigate to, and what other anti-spam or similar tools are in place,” Stern said. “When employees are asked to work remotely, they may be forced to use a personal device, which likely doesn’t contain the same security controls that are in place on a company-issued device.”

Stern is an Associate in Clark Hill’s Cybersecurity, Data Privacy & Protection group, based in the firm’s Chicago office. Stern assists clients with global privacy and data security issues, including multi-jurisdictional data breach response matters and protecting personally identifiable information and infrastructure. Stern has extensive experience in data breach preparedness where he advises clients on information security governance, incident response policies and procedures, business continuity plans, and other data privacy and cybersecurity processes.
