DETROIT, MI – Attorneys Ellen Hoeppner and Robert Dare will present at the Michigan Public Employer Labor Relations Association (MPERLA) Annual Conference on September 13, 2018. Their interactive presentation, titled “Responding to Employee Off-Duty Conduct,” will address issues involving discipline for off-duty conduct and when employers are deemed on notice of potentially protected activity as a result of employee off-duty conduct. It will also teach strategies to minimize the possibility of legal action when responding to an employee’s off-duty conduct.
Ellen Hoeppner, Senior Attorney in the Labor & Employment practice, has defended employers in federal and state courts and before federal and state administrative agencies in matters involving employment discrimination, harassment, retaliatory discharge and wage and hour claims.
