Clark Hill attorneys Benjamin Shipper and Jason Canvasser were recently published in the Detroit Legal News. The article, “Sixth Circuit Upholds Michigan’s Prohibition Against Direct to Consumer Wine Shipments from Out-of-State Retailers,” discusses the recent proposal of bills that would allow out-of-state wine retailers, that have obtained a license from the Michigan Liquor Control Commission, to sell directly to consumers. Currently, consumers must purchase wine from retailers with a physical presence in Michigan.
